A beautiful windy day in the California Desert town of La Quinta made for a spectacular wedding at the La Quinta Resort and Club for Alyssa and Josh. This spectacular wedding was planned and coordinated by Michelle Stansfield, CPCE of Chic Productions. The wedding film was produced by GodFather Films.

How did you meet?
We met at an NYU Stern MBA Spring Fling event. Josh was an MBA student and Alyssa happened to attend the event with her roommate, who was also in the MBA program at Stern. Alyssa didn’t know many people at the event, but ended up meeting Josh through friends and they ended up flirting the rest of the night.

How long did you plan the wedding after the proposal?
We started planning immediately after our engagement and we were married 9 months later. We had booked our wedding location before our official engagement 🙂

The top 3 challenges/difficulties of planning the wedding.
1. Guest list
2. Finding a venue / vendors
3. Coordinating logistics as we had a destination wedding

The top 3 most fun/easiest parts of planning the wedding.
1. We had a lot of fun picking our DJ and working with him to create a fun atmosphere
2. Engagement photos and wedding photos were fun / easy
3. Hanging our with groomsmen, bridesmaids all weekend was a blast

What fun/unique feature of your wedding made you the proudest?
Our wedding was on cinco de mayo weekend, so we had a fiesta-type flair for the weekend. We also had a wonderful band who played worship songs during our ceremony and our Pastor John Termini and his wife flew all the way from New York City, where they help pastor Hillsong New York City, to officiate our wedding.

If you had it to do over, what would you change, add or do differently?
We would’ve had an extra day before the wedding to relax and prepare for the weekend. Josh had a busy week of work leading up the wedding and wasn’t able to get to Palm Desert till Thursday. If we did it again, we would’ve had us both out there by Wednesday.
