Rehearsal Dinner Themes: Traditional or Unique

Plan the Rehearsal Dinner to Match Your Personalities

Planning a rehearsal dinner? How exciting! You can go with tradition and have a dinner that mirrors the flavor and style of the wedding, but why not plan something that reflects the happy couple’s interests? Not sure what’s expected? Today, almost anything goes.

If a couple likes sports, you might plan the dinner at a sports bar, or rent a private box at a local sports venue and catch a game.  If the betrothed like to dance, hold the dinner at a club and provide dance lessons for the whole entourage.  Salsa and ballroom are always popular, but throw in some line-dancing and get the whole party moving together.

Create a theme such as beach, sports or a brunch

For those that favor the beach, have the dinner at a beach-side venue or restaurant and make it a fun lobster fest or an old fashioned clam bake.  There’s really no limit to the possibilities.  Themed rehearsal dinners are the way to go for couples who like variety even to the point of having a rehearsal lunch or brunch instead.  A romantic Great Gatsby brunch might be a perfect setting for the rehearsal and why not ask guests to dress the part as well?
