Shivani and Amar celebrated an amazing Summer wedding on the oceanfront in Santa Barbara at Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort. The Wedding was held at the Outdoor Rotunda and the reception was held in the grand ballroom. The Photography was shot by: Lin and Jirsa Photography and Cinema. Their wedding filmmaker was: Robles Video Productions. Their wedding coordinator was Elegant Events by Nutan. The groom arrived on a white horse for his baraat. The ceremony was a traditional Gujarati Hindu wedding that took place outside under a cream colored draped mandap. Following the ceremony, the bride and groom departed with a small viddai ceremony. The reception followed in the evening in the main ballroom.
How did you meet?
We met through a mutual friend at an event. We shook hands and said hello and walked away. Years later Amar requested me to be his friend on Facebook. I accepted as we had many mutual friends and he looked familiar. We started talking through Facebook and quickly started to talk more and more. Instant message conversations led to late night phone calls and many dates! 8 years later we decided to finally get married and start out life together!!!!
How long did you plan the wedding after the proposal?
We Planned our wedding for a full year.

What fun/unique feature of your wedding made you the proudest?
It was great to make our wedding a mini destination wedding for all of our family and guests. It was 4th of July weekend and beautiful weather in Santa Barbara. The location could not have been more perfect. Our garba night, wedding, and cocktail hour took place overlooking the ocean at a beautiful resort where all of our guests stayed. The garba night, in particular, was my favorite event as it took place outdoors, with twinkling string lights and lots of food, and dancing.
If you had it to do over, what would you change, add or do differently?
Not at all! It was our dream wedding!
